Weyerhaeuser is searching for a Systems Tech to implement effective manufacturing processes at our lumber facility in McComb, MS. As a Systems Tech, you will help us evaluate our existing manufacturing processes, develop innovative strategies, and ensure our processes comply with industry specifications and regulations. You will develop and manage projects that address site safety and operational excellence improvements. This is an advanced technical position in the maintenance department.


Key Functions

Perform quality assurance on existing manufacturing processesIdentify areas that need process control optimizationEvaluate the efficiency of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and toolsImplement preventive and predictive maintenance methods and systems to reduce unscheduled downtime and utilize reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure production volume, quality and overall uptime goals are metAssist in project planning and drive an electrical safety culture based on NFPA 70E complianceEfficiently use reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume, and quality goals are metCoordinate with operations and maintenance to prioritize and resolve issues

Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, should business needs require

Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with electrical power distribution systemsKnowledge of mechanical and fluid power systemsIdeal candidate will have Mechanical Maintenance experience as wellElectrical/Mechanical experience in a sawmill
