Job Description

Analyze systems and configuration requirements to design test equipment systems. Write requirements for implementing the validation bench. Create a conceptual design and architect the design, development, and implementation of a test system. Direct the design and development of test equipment systems encompassing both hardware and software components. Direct the design, development, and implementation of automated test scripts using Python. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test environments. Develop and execute system validation plans to ensure compliance with specified systems requirements. Write test scenarios to validate the system for each aircraft application. Perform functional, integration, and regression testing. Develop and maintain tools for test automation and continuous integration. Document test procedures, results, and analysis reports.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze systems and configuration requirements to design test equipment systems.Write requirements for implementing the validation bench.Create a conceptual design and architect the design, development, and implementation of a test system.Direct the design and development of test equipment systems encompassing both hardware and software components.Direct the design, development, and implementation of automated test scripts using Python.Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test environments.Develop and execute system validation plans to ensure compliance with specified systems requirements.Write test scenarios to validate the system for each aircraft application.Perform functional, integration, and regression testing.Develop and maintain tools for test automation and continuous integration.Document test procedures, results, and analysis reports.Essential SkillsProficiency in Python and C/C++.System validation and automated test development.Experience with test bench development.Experience with hardware test equipment development.Proficiency in DO-178 standards.Experience in the aviation and defense sectors.Knowledge of LOOP, GIT, JIRA, ARINC 429, ARINC 717, UART, CAN, and Ethernet.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.5 to 10 years of experience in designing test equipment systems, preferably for the aerospace environment.Proficiency in hardware design and system integration.Experience with requirements management systems (DOORS).Experience in developing test scripts using high-level languages like C, C++, or Python.Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.Previous experience leading the development of a system validation bench is highly desirable.Knowledge of ARINC 429, ARINC 717, UART, CAN, and Ethernet interfaces.Experience with Hardware-In-the-Loop testing.Experience with configuration and change management tools (e.g., GIT, JIRA).Work Environment

Small office environment with a small engineering bench. The work culture is family-oriented, with a lot of team activities. The team includes a mix of contractors and consultants, all treated equally.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $165000.00/hr.
