Systems Test Technician
Job Title: Test Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Test Technician to perform system maintenance and mobile robot repairs. This role involves cycling mobile robots through system control software, collecting bot logs, supporting issue triage and root cause investigations, and compiling data for key performance metrics. You will assist with the operation and debugging of warehouse systems and help set up and execute test cases using Test Rail, JIRA, and SharePoint. Ensuring safety compliance with OSHA standards and internal processes is a daily requirement. The role also includes running and debugging PLC or software-controlled hardware via HMI command line interface, and navigating both Linux and Windows file structures to access system software and find key loglines. Responsibilities + Perform system maintenance and mobile robot repairs. + Cycle mobile robots through system control software, collecting bot logs, supporting issue triage and root cause investigations, and compiling data for key performance metrics. + Assist with the operation and debugging of warehouse systems. + Assist with setup and execution of test cases using Test Rail, JIRA, and SharePoint. + Ensure safety compliance with OSHA and internal processes and procedures are met daily. + Run and debug PLC or software-controlled hardware via HMI command line interface. + Navigate both Linux and Windows file structures to access system software and find key loglines. Essential Skills + Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician in a product development environment. + High school or vocational technical school diploma required. + Experience with complex electromechanical products, robotics, or automation. + Hands-on mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and instrumentation. + Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. + Experience running software scripts to execute tests. + Familiarity with Linux, Python, Bash, etc. + PLC troubleshooting and debugging. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate’s preferred. + Skilled in systems testing and integrating hardware and software. + Experience with Test Rail, JIRA, and SharePoint. + Ability to work some weekends and off shifts. + Willingness to travel occasionally. Work Environment This role requires working in a dynamic and collaborative warehouse environment. You will work with various technologies and equipment, including PLCs, robotics, and automation systems. The position may require weekend and off-shift work, and some travel. Safety compliance with OSHA standards is essential. The work involves hands-on mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and using instrumentation. Dress code is casual but safe, adhering to OSHA guidelines.3-5 Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
