Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Technician to perform system maintenance and mobile robot repairs. The ideal candidate will cycle mobile robots through system use control software, collect bot logs, support issue triage and root cause investigations, and compile data for key performance metrics. Additionally, you will assist with the operation and debugging of the system test system, set up and execute test cases using Test Rail, JIRA, and SharePoint, and integrate hardware based on engineering drawings.
ResponsibilitiesPerform system maintenance and mobile robot repairs.Cycle mobile robots through system use control software.Collect bot logs, support issue triage and root cause investigations.Compile data for key performance metrics.Assist with operation and debugging of system test system.Set up and execute test cases using Test Rail, JIRA, and SharePoint.Run and debug PLC or software-controlled hardware via HMI command line interface.Integrate hardware based on engineering drawings assisting Test Engineers directly.Essential SkillsExperience with robotics or complex electromechanical assemblies.Experience with at least 1-2 of the following: mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and instrumentation.Experience testing complex systems or assemblies.Experience with HW and SW testing.Scripting with Linux/Python/Bash.Experience with Test Rail & Jira.Experience with PLCs, software testing, Linux, Python, Bash, Test Rail, robotics, automated equipment, validation, hardware test.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum 7-10 years of experience as an Engineering Technician in a product development environment.High school or vocational technical school diploma required.Associate’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.Experience with complex electromechanical products, robotics, or automation required.Demonstrated ability to be very hands-on.Skilled in mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and instrumentation.Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.Experience running software scripts to execute tests.Familiar with Linux, Python, Bash, etc.Work Environment
You will support a team of 12, soon to be 14 engineers, and work hands-on with systems. The position primarily covers the second shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, though very strong candidates may be considered for the first shift. Enjoy catered lunch every day and the exciting opportunity to upskill yourself and learn software testing if you don't have that experience. You will work on cutting-edge, next-generation robotics systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
