Job Title: Tablet Press OperatorJob Description
This position is responsible for pressing compounded drug products into their final dosage form using a tablet press. The role involves interpreting formula worksheets and compounding medication using approved equipment and processes. Technicians are also responsible for cleaning and maintaining the equipment used in compounding tablets, as well as providing assistance to pharmacists in carrying out the mission of the pharmacy. All duties are performed under the supervision of a Lead Technician and a licensed pharmacist.
Responsibilities
+ Operate a tablet press according to policy and procedures.
+ Clean and maintain a tablet press according to policy and procedure.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical problems as they arise.
+ Measure, weigh, count, and compound medications.
+ Mix pharmaceutical preparations according to formulation logs.
+ Establish and maintain accurate patient records by entering correct lot numbers and expiration dates of compounded medications.
+ Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
+ Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
+ Package medications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must register as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Wisconsin prior to starting.
+ Degree in the Sciences OR
+ Pharmacy Technician experience OR
+ Manufacturing Experience of Drug or FDA-regulated Products
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The dress code is scrubs, with two pairs provided as work attire. The work environment requires standing at a lab bench for the entire shift. The company offers training and advancement from within, access to Pharmacy Letter and APC, and selects team members to earn the PTCB Certification. Employees benefit from a supportive team environment, with two 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The pharmacy closes at 6 p.m., so there are no late nights.
