TAIT’s 20 global offices have developed iconic productions and experiences in over 30 countries, all seven continents, and even outer space for renowned performers, theme parks, exhibits, and venues across the globe, including partnerships with Taylor Swift, Cirque Du Soleil, Royal Opera House, Nike, NASA, Bloomberg, Google, Beyoncé, and The Olympics **Position Purpose** TAIT Crew is our technical touring team, traveling around the world on busses and planes, setting up and operating the biggest live events and touring productions in the world. There are lots of skills on the team, but primarily we focus on entertainment automation and performer-flying rigging. We are looking for people to join the team who have a background in technical entertainment, including touring experience, and willingness to learn, work hard, and have fun creating moments that move people all over the world. **Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities** + Create load in, show operation, and load out processes to ensure each project is setup to have successful shows. + In certain cases, lead other Crew members. + Communicate status of shows to TAIT when on the road. + Load/unload trucks and shows. + Operate and troubleshoot the TAIT automation system and components. + General electrical knowledge to assist with executing cable plan and connecting hoists and other assets and can lead team of local labor. + Assists assembling stages, scenery, and soft goods. Ability to setup a small stage while leading local labor for projects. + Safely uses power tools. + Capable in conventional rigging while also supporting automation rigging and performing flying as needed. + Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures + Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required + Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company. Management Responsibility This role has no management, or supervisory responsibilities. **Competencies** 1. **Adaptability** : The ability to quickly adjust to unexpected changes in event logistics, schedules, or technical issues to ensure a seamless experience for the audience. 2. **Teamwork** : Effective collaboration with fellow crew members, performers, and event organizers to coordinate efforts and achieve the common goal of a successful event. 3. **Physical Stamina** : The physical endurance to handle the demands of long hours, heavy lifting, and physically demanding tasks often required in live event setups and teardowns. 4. **Technical Proficiency** : A solid understanding of audio, video, lighting, and other technical equipment used in live events, as well as the ability to troubleshoot technical issues on the spot. 5. **Communication Skills** : Clear and concise communication with team members, event organizers, and talent to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding event requirements and changes. 6. **Problem Solving** : Quick thinking and resourcefulness to address unexpected challenges, such as equipment malfunctions, in real-time. 7. **Time Management** : Efficiently managing time to meet tight setup and teardown schedules, ensuring that the event starts and ends on time. 8. **Attention to Detail** : A keen eye for detail when setting up equipment, ensuring that everything is in its right place and functioning correctly to deliver a flawless event. 9. **Safety Consciousness** : A commitment to adhering to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for the crew and event attendees. 10. **Customer Service** : Providing exceptional service to performers, event organizers, and attendees by being approachable, responsive, and helpful throughout the event. **Minimum Qualifications** To perform the essential responsibilities, individuals must have the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. Additionally, the following certifications, knowledge, skills, or physical requirements are necessary for the position. + High school diploma or equivalent + 2+ years of technical entertainment experience and touring, with a focus in concert touring experience, preferred + Strong work ethic as well as the ability to work independently + Strong organizational skills + Must have a US passport and a clean record to be able to travel internationally for work + Valid driver’s license **Working Conditions and Physical Effort** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to frequently walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, stoop, and kneel each day. Specific requirements are: + Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, at least 10 hours or more. + Must be able to lift or move at least 30 lbs or more. + Must be able to carry at least 30 lbs or more. + Must be able to pull or push at least 50 lbs. + Must be able to work outside of standard office business hours including extended time frames. + Must be able to work in outdoor environments with changing weather conditions. **Work conditions of the role are:** + Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises + Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions + Must be able to work and live in close quarters with others during the extent of tours and gigs + Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work within or visit areas where required. This includes, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, and other PPE as required by the location + Ability to work in “entertainment conditions” including a wide variety of working places such as shops, dark backstages, catwalks at height, construction areas, and cruise ships.
