TALENT ACQUISITION COORDINATOR

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the recruitment and hiring processes within the organization.  This position is responsible for coordinating and streamlining various aspects of the talent acquisition lifecycle, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and offer logistics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating an excellent candidate experience.  In addition to supporting the full-cycle process, this position involves the following responsibilities:

Ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process while prioritizing candidate satisfaction Assisting with campus recruitment efforts and attending job fairs and events Supporting the McGough Internship Program Building and maintaining relationships with prospective talent, hiring managers, employees, external networks, educational institutions, and search firms

Qualifications:

Required:

1-3 years of related experience in talent acquisition Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, the Adobe Creative Suite. Exposure to HRIS platforms, LinkedIn, job boards, and social media platforms supporting talent acquisition efforts. Commitment to advancing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) priorities within the organization Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, effective problem-solving, and adaptability in complex situations Capacity to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines Exceptional organizational skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities, paired with keen attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all team members Ability to work with confidential data while maintaining privacy Capability to professionally voice concerns and adeptly manage conflicts Positive can-do attitude and continual learner

Preferred:

3-5 years of related experience in talent acquisition Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Demonstrated experience with full life cycle recruitment process Experience in hiring within the construction industry Knowledge or creative and innovative sourcing techniques

Office and Travel:

Office: This position is hybrid, allowing for remote flexibility of 2-3 days per week after the initial training period. When working in the office, the primary location is the corporate office in St. Paul.

Travel: Occasional visits to regional offices and overnight travel for participation in HR talent acquisition conferences, events, and college recruiting events.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Job Postings and Advertising 

Collaborates with the Talent Acquisition (TA) and Marketing teams to actively communicate the company's culture, values, and job opportunities through various channels such as social media outlets, in-house platforms, job boards, etc. Ensure job postings are accurate and aligned with branding guidelines.

Candidate Management

Assists in screening resumes and applications to help identify qualified candidates. Ensure a positive and professional experience for all candidates by maintaining timely and clear communication throughout the process. Proactively address candidate inquiries and concerns. Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and documentation in the applicant tracking system and TA shared files. Generate reports and metrics on recruitment activities as needed.

Interview and Offer Coordination 

Schedule and coordinate interview with hiring managers and candidates, ensuring a seamless process. When needed assist in coordinating candidate’s travel, lodging, etc. for interviews and first day. Prepare and distribute interview agendas and materials. Communicate with candidates to confirm interview details and answer questions. Assist with preparing offer letters and additional forms.

Supports External Recruitment Resources 

Assists the TA team in maintaining relationships with external search firms, headhunters, and other recruitment partners. Helps track and review the performance of search firms and headhunters to ensure alignment with organizational needs.

Campus Recruitment & Higher Education Coordination

Provides comprehensive support for campus recruitment efforts, including: Coordinate and schedule career fair participation, including registering for events, booking travel, and preparing booth materials. Arrange on-campus events, such as company presentations, workshops or networking sessions Acts as the main point of contact for students throughout the recruitment process, providing information about the company, answering questions, and coordinating follow-ups. Helps promote events and opportunities on university job boards and other platforms. Work with TA and marketing teams on campus recruitment materials. Assists in maintaining a pipeline of potential candidates for future internship and job opportunities.

McGough Internship Program

Works closely with the TA team to support business leaders in sourcing, recruiting, screening, and coordinating interviews for internship positions. Promotes internship opportunities through internal platforms, colleges and universities, social media, and other channels. Assists in ensuring a smooth orientation and onboarding process for interns. Supports the Director of Talent Acquisition in coordinating events and developing content for the internship program.

Overall Support 

Support TA team and initiatives as required. Identifies and contributes to enhancing hiring efficiencies and improvements to our recruitment efforts. Run reports for TA regarding AAP program compliance.

Other Duties as assigned 

Participate as an active member of the Talent Acquisition and HR Teams. Contribute to shared goals and collaborate with colleagues on achievement of priorities. Other duties as assigned.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee’s work station.  Employee needs to be able to lift up to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.

Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
