Huntsville, AL, USA | Full Time Job Title: Talent Acquisition Lead Location: Huntsville, AL (On-Site) Canvas is growing and we are looking for a Talent Acquisition (TA) Leader to join our HR team. This role will be a Talent Acquisition Specialist leading a TA Team of 4+ members and reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources out of our Corporate Office in Huntsville, AL. Duties: + Develop and implement recruiting strategies to proactively source the talent required for Canvas to deliver optimal services + Provide expertise and leadership of job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements. Assist Canvas Hiring Managers to effectively integrate duties and requirements into job descriptions and interview questions. + Oversee and lead the Talent Acquisition team through all stages of the recruiting process (including marketing company and position requirements, identification of candidates, effective communication and responsiveness, candidate application, and interview and selection). + Work with Hiring Managers and the TA Team to forecast hiring needs, position Canvas to attract talent, and ensure recruitment process runs smoothly. + Monitor key TA/HR metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and source of hire. + Accountable for accurate reporting & management information while also enabling ongoing analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement. + Identify the most beneficial hiring events and position Canvas to be a preferred employer. + Build the company's professional network through relationships with industry related talent, HR professionals, colleges and other partners. + Integrate technology and resources with a focus on timely fills and an ideal candidate experience. Continuously improve services by identifying best practices and tools and incorporating them into standard processes and procedures. + Lead and inspire your team to be high performing, highly valued and connected talent acquisition specialists who deliver brilliant recruitment and selection practices and a consistently excellent service. + Lead and inspire others, providing the support and direction to help them be the best they can, creating an environment within the team that is a role model for our Company values. + Positively engage and work collaboratively with Canvas Leadership team and Hiring Managers, to understand their hiring needs and ensure the recruitment plan is fully aligned to meeting these. + Ensure the employer brand and employee value proposition is understood and leveraged in all relevant communications to facilitate the company`s Employer of Choice philosophy. + Identify and manage relationships with the most appropriate and effective sourcing channels, ranging from networking, promoting referrals, professional and social networking sites and 3rd party supplier relationships. Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred + 8+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition with at least 3 years in a Lead or Manager role. + Requires 3-5 years' experience successfully recruiting talent to perform services for customers in the aerospace and defense market. The target candidates include Mechanical, Electrical, and Aerospace Engineers, Computer Scientists, and other related Subject Matter Experts) + Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Lead or similar role. + Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various talent interview techniques and evaluation methods. + Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and Candidate Management Systems (CMSs). + Excellent understanding of recruitment processes including experience ensuring compliance within recruitment process in relation to OFCCP, EEO, FAR, DOL and others. + Good interpersonal and decision-making skills.
