Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist
Overview:

Provides support on general HR Operations; documents procedures, conducts process audits and monitors compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:Provide operational support to Talent Acquisition Department.Support the first line of defense risk management function by assisting with the identification and assessment of risks, risk monitoring and testing, and issues management. Provide assistance in the development and implementation of various operational risk/compliance related initiatives within Talent Acquisition. Assist in documenting key business unit processes.Identify risks and internal controls associated with these key processes. Assist in the planning, execution and reporting of the business unit's risk-based testing program. Independently perform scripted control testing in accordance with M&T's First Line of Defense Guidance on Management of Risks & Internal Controls and professional standards. Evaluating results to determine if issues exist specifically (i.e. I-9, Background Checks, FCRA, Job Postings). Communicate findings to management.Monitors and maintains relationships with new and existing vendors for Talent Acquisition.  Partners with business or support function management to ensure vendor service risk assessments are completed, and due diligence and ongoing monitoring requirements are fulfilled within eGRC (the Bank’s Vendor Risk System). Monitoring Careersite Support Mailbox and provide Level 1 system support to the Talent Acquisition Department and system end users.Complete User Acceptance Testing during recruitment system upgrades, documenting testing procedures and defects. Content management and maintenance with ATS System. Develop a thorough understanding of Talent Acquisition and its functions, processes and operations.  Understand recruiter process flow and how process or data changes affect them.  Understand the user experience for stake holders, i.e. payroll, HR Direct, Hiring managers, employees or candidates and how changes affect them.Administer and process employment background checks.Manage Talent Acquisition’s annual career fair calendar to ensure adequate recruitment representation.Responsible for ordering equipment and requesting and monitoring systems access for Talent Acquisition.Monitoring existing content on career pages for MTB.com and Talent Acquisition’s Insider page.SharePoint file management and maintenance.Participate in a team on various departmental projects.Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The incumbent has exposure to highly confidential and sensitive information.

The position interacts with both internal and external contacts in order to obtain pertinent information.  The incumbent works independently under general supervision as well as a member of a project team. The incumbent must possess basic system administrator knowledge to support the application(s) and interacts on a regular basis with other technology personnel.

Education and Experience Required:

Associates Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong Operational skills and experience creating processes and procedures.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including WORD, Excel and Powerpoint.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong analytical ability and creative problem solving skills.

Detail-oriented and a strong ability to multitask.

Ability to work independently and function as a member of a project team.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $20.94 - $34.91 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
