Talent Acquisition Partner, Recruiter
Overview Talent Acquisition, Recruiter Janesville, WI or Rockford, IL Salary Supporting Allied Health Teams As the Talent Partner (TP), you will play a pivotal role in the talent acquisition process within Mercyhealth. The TP will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates to meet the Systems staffing needs. The TAS works closely with hiring leaders to ensure the recruitment process aligns with organization goals and objectives. The TP is a strategic partner in the organization’s talent acquisition efforts, contributing to the systems’ success by attracting and retaining top talent. They embody professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional recruitment experiences for both candidates and hiring teams. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Perform activities related to the recruitment of qualified staff for all areas of MercyHealth System in accordance with Culture of Excellence; Quality, Service, Partnering, and Cost, and within Federal and State Regulatory guidelines. Develops and implements effective short- and long-term recruitment plans to assure the availability of competent staff for MercyHealth System in coordination with appropriate leadership staff. Reviews applications and resumes and utilizes assessments and selection tools to assess candidate qualifications. Proactively sources to improve candidate pools and utilizes a wide variety of sourcing techniques to establish quality applicants. Conducts candidate screens and interviews utilizing behavioral interview process. Compiles reports and analyzes statistical data including turnover, vacancy rate, and selection processes that support recruiting levels. Participates in and coordinates career events and related activities with educational institutions and appropriate organizations to maintain a positive System image and furthers recruitment efforts. Promotes MercyHealth System as an employer of choice. Develops and utilizes sourcing plans and activities to improve candidate pools. Coordinates hiring process, scheduling for new employees assuring completion of required procedures including physical/drug screen, criminal background check, references, etc. Partners with leadership to develop, maintain, and implement recruitment plans for assigned area(s) of responsibility. Completes and enters process flows (i.e., transfers, fte/rate changes, adding work assignments, inactivating work assignments, etc.) for partners in their areas of recruitment. Confirms new hire eligibility for appropriate licensure and education. Develops and maintains professional relationships with educational institutions and placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants. Consistently follows nondiscriminatory practices within the recruitment process. Utilized technologies that support the HR function. (ATS, HRIS, HR Products and Vendors) Establish and maintain professional relationships with Leadership team members and partners of the system. Provides input to benefit and compensation areas related to recruitment trends and market sensitivity of specific positions. Determines salary recommendations for new and transferring employees following the organization’s compensation guidelines and philosophy. Consults with leaders and shares recruitment expertise and knowledge to enhance selection process and compensation determination. Actively participates in departmental and functional meetings and activities. Consults with other key stakeholders in MercyHealth System on strategies for recruitment. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associate degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field required. A minimum of 5 years HR experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Certification and Licensure Certification in one of the following is preferred: • SHRM Certified Professionals (SHRM-CP) • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) • Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) from HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®) • Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®) • Certified Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR) • Certified Recruiter Lean Human Capital Skills and Abilities • Good interpretive/analytical skills • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills • May be required to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. • Some travel may be necessary Special Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to sit, handle, finger, feel, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds and up to 25 pounds frequently. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
