CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense ( DOD ) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Specialist provides comprehensive recruiting and staffing functions in support of the overall strategic mission of CEMML . The successful candidate will possess the ability to identify talent needs, design and implement employer branding strategies, drive the recruitment and selection processes, and establish a strong recruiting pipeline for a wide range of technical and environmental science roles nationwide. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have the ability to streamline existing TA functions and ensure complex programs and processes are clear throughout the hiring process. This position will also have responsibility for coordinating searches and utilizing our applicant tracking system ( ATS ) to assist in the search process. This person should have a demonstrated commitment to ensuring a positive candidate experience, and align skill sets with organizational needs. Required Job Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree + Minimum of 3 years of experience full-cycle recruiting for roles at all levels within a scientific, government, technical, or related industry. + Working knowledge of local and federal employment laws. + Proficiency in applicant tracking systems ( ATS ) and HR software. + Demonstrated success in a metrics-based recruiting environment. Preferred Job Qualifications + Strong understanding of environmental and technical roles, with the ability to assess candidates’ qualifications and fit for specialized positions. + Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously. + Experience filling roles throughout the US. + Previous experience filling roles in a timely manner to ensure contract terms are met. + Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with a variety of business partners. + Experience in or knowledge of DoD/Bid for Work environment. Essential Duties Job Duty CategoryRecruiting Duty/Responsibility + Manages the full life-cycle recruiting process including creating job postings, determining attraction and engagement strategy, screening and interviewing applicants, candidate communication and stakeholder partnership. + Utilizes proven industry methods to seek both active and passive candidates. + Cultivates a robust talent pool of interested, qualified, and high potential candidates. + Develops creative outreach strategies to attract candidates; uses social networking and marketing as well as other recruiting strategies. + Builds strong talent brand and image for CSU by identifying ways to improve our candidate experience, informing our marketing directions, liaising with employment agencies, etc. + Tracks and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of recruiting strategies and impact on overall retention. Percentage Of Time70% Job Duty CategoryApplicant Tracking System Duty/Responsibility + Tracks all candidate processes within the applicant tracking system, including requisition generation, interview coordination, offer letter generation, and onboarding paperwork. + Moves applicants through the end-to-end workflow, creates hiring proposals, and submits final candidates for approval as required. + Manages the candidate offer process and portions of the onboarding process, to include drafting and coordinating offer letter and pre-employment screenings, scheduling and completing onboarding paperwork, and following up on necessary onboarding actions for the hiring team.
