Talent Advisor, Performance and Talent Management (Senior Manager)

About the role:

The Senior Manager, Performance and Talent Management is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and ongoing management of employee performance and talent management processes. This role works closely with the Associate Director, Performance and Talent Management to embed processes and tools that ensure employees are effectively assessed, developed, and recognized for their contributions. The Senior Manager collaborates with Total Rewards, People Technology, People Analytics and HR Business Partners to ensure these annual programs and processes are delivering the outcomes needed, providing measurement and analysis against intended goals.

In the role, the Senior Manager is responsible for managing effective delivery and experience of the performance and talent management processes. This role will also support in developing plans for associated communication, training and related technology system enablement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, data-driven, and skilled in collaborating across teams to drive results.

This role reports to the Global Head of Talent & Growth and is based in Foster City, CA.

Responsibilities:

Provide project management support for enterprise Performance and Talent Management processes and associated change enablement activities, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.Develop detailed project plans, track progress and manage resources effectively.Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies and provide regular updates to stakeholders.Work with People Technology to ensure embedding of the performance and talent management modules and processes in the Workday and/ or other technology systems.Track and monitor data, metrics and user insights. Collect, analyze and interpret performance and talent data to identify trends and organizational insights.Continuously refine talent and performance programs based on data and feedback, aligned with enhancing the user experience and meeting organizational goals.Stay updated on performance and talent management best practices and trends.

Expertise:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).5+ years of experience in performance management, project management or a similar role.Proven track record in managing complex, employee performance and development projects.Experience working with people technology software (WorkDay).

Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data driven decision making.Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Has a customer focused approach and embeds into mindset, practice and methodology.Excellent communication capabilities; is able to simplify and integrate complex concepts and ideas.Demonstrates development focus by seeking feedback and acting on it and providing feedback to others.

The salary range for this position is: $154,020.00 - $199,320.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
