At MITRE, our Talent Advisors are the architects of the entire recruitment journey, working in harmony with hiring teams to create a flawless hiring experience. The ideal candidate will be intricately connected to a specific business unit, providing support during hiring influxes and extending assistance to other team members across the MITRE Enterprise. Talent Advisors are anticipated to evolve into subject matter experts (SME) within their primary business area, understanding the hiring needs to effectively devise strategic hiring plans and proactive support for their business units. They meet hiring needs by harnessing tools and crafting innovative sourcing and progressive talent strategies. Furthermore, they offer guidance on all facets of the hiring and selection process, ensuring an exceptional candidate and new hire experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Serves as a strategic partner and consultant to the business units’ leadership team, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the business units’ operations, strategic objectives, and challenges related to attracting, sourcing, and hiring talent.

Promotes an inclusive interview process and unbiased selection for all positions within the scope of responsibility.

Implements and monitors the business units’ recruitment strategy, ensuring punctual delivery against hiring targets.

Utilizes sourcing tools, events, marketing, academic partnerships, and social opportunities to stimulate candidate engagement, sourcing, and talent pipelines.

Ensures stakeholders adhere to the interview and hiring process, as well as OFCCP compliance.

Cultivates trusting relationships with both candidates and hiring teams.

Communicates updates to internal and external stakeholders throughout the recruitment process, ensuring all participants are well informed.

Keeps a proactive pulse on industry trends and market awareness.

Provides talent market data, including skills demand, geographic and industry trends.

Leads by example in optimizing talent marketing of requisition postings and awareness, leveraging social media optimizations and referral marketing program to enhance talent branding and applicants.

Engages with hiring manager to enhance job postings and strengthen talent pipelines.

Proactively sources, pipelines, and attracts talent with critical skills for open requisitions and future hiring of the corporate requisitions.

Represents MITRE Talent Acquisition at external events to attract prospective talent. Communicates at the line level on business process changes or change management efforts when necessary.

Acts as a MITRE Brand Ambassador in all areas of their role (internally, externally, online).

Leads and delegates the scheduling of their respective coordinator, ensuring a team-centric focus while providing an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.

Communicates clear expectations and goals of the hiring teams to ensure all staff understand their contributions to key hiring outcomes.

Supports hiring teams in constructing position descriptions, panel questions, and hiring strategies.

Creates an environment of connection and belonging, with a focus on collaboration to contribute to the division. Leads and manages division projects to contribute to the MITRE Talent Acquisition team.

Provides data and milestone metrics and reporting to hiring teams and leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

8+ years of experience as a full life cycle recruiter

4+ years of experience in intel and related recruitment

Exceptional stakeholder management skills, adept at engaging and serving as a consultant to all levels of management and leadership.

Experience in recruiting events, networking, and partnering on employment branding and recruitment marketing efforts to attract talent.

Exceptional ability to screen and qualify talent to meet business needs and be a connector of talent

Experience in time management with the ability to prioritize a high volume of requisitions simultaneously.

Exceptional communication skills; written and verbal.

High emotional intelligence and customer service focus.

Experience with Application Tracking System (ATS) and HCM systems required (Workday desired).

Experience writing and optimizing position descriptions, interview documents and ability to collaborate and influence the future workforce hiring strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

12+ years of recruitment experience

8+ years’ experience recruiting and sourcing talent within the Intelligence Community.

Detailed knowledge of the Intelligence Community.

Experience leveraging tools such as Workday and Phenom.

Experience utilizing large language models (LLM) to enhance Talent Acquisition in a rapidly evolving talent market.
