Talent Development and Communications Supervisor

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to manage Global Data Insights & Analytics’ (GDIA) Talent Development and Communications team, reporting to the Chief of Staff, CDAAO. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing learning & development programs, talent development strategies, and internal/external communications. The People Leader will oversee a team responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs, managing internal and external communications, and enabling the success of new team members, interns, and early career employees.

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Organizational Development, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in Learning & Development, including program design, delivery, and evaluation or communications. 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, etc). Strong leadership skills and excels at leading high-performing teams with a focus on the growth and well-being of the team. Strong project management and organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication, coupled with strong facilitation, presentation, and consultative skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to energize and enable a cross-functional team to adopt the program and/or process being rolled out. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, including the ability to analyze performance gaps, identify root causes, and design solutions to improve results.

Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of learning and communications professionals. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews. Ensure objectives are aligned to company goals and drive business success. Communications Strategy: Manage internal and external communications (e.g. newsletters, announcements, presentations, and website content), ensuring consistent messaging and branding. Be a thought-leader in the development and execution of communication strategies to support the GDIA organization and the enablement of the AI & Data Platforms and Analytics Products, including identifying optimal channels for message delivery. Learning Program Management: Oversee the design, development, and delivery of engaging and effective learning programs, including technical training, leadership development, and professional/soft skills training. This includes team communications, employee onboarding programs, professional development workshops, and technical skills training. Talent Development Management: Collaborate with the Chief of Staff and key stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive talent development strategy that addresses the evolving needs of the GDIA organization. Process Development: Oversee the development of consistent processes to engage with the business, intake needs, and effectively partner across the organization to deliver robust learning, comms, and talent development requests. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, oftentimes including ET L&D, HR, and business leaders, to ensure alignment and collaboration on learning, comms, and talent development initiatives. Global Enablement: Partner with regional teams to ensure learning, talent development and communication strategies are aligned with global needs, supporting a diverse employee base. Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to track the effectiveness of the learning, talent development, and communications programs and initiatives. Analyze data and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Oversee the development and maintenance of a data tracking and reporting dashboard, which measures completion to goal.
