Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in analyzing and prioritizing training needs within the hotel, utilizing resources such as market metrics, hotel quality standards, Mystery Guest feedback reports, SOP Manuals, and Associate Engagement Surveys.
• Support in conducting regular Forbes/Rosewood Brand Standards/LQA spot checks within the hotel's operational departments.
• Assist in conducting Individual Training Plan (ITP) checks to ensure proper follow-up on associates during probation and coordinate the 90 days' celebration.
• Establish relationships with and assist departmental training coordinators and departmental trainers in achieving their training objectives by providing coaching, motivation, and regular audits of personal development plans and training records.
• Support in the development and distribution of the monthly training calendar and assist in planning the yearly training calendar based on training needs analysis.
• Assist with the Cross-training program.
• Assist departmental management to produce training plans for each department and individual associates with support from the training coordinators.
• Develop and deliver creative and intuitive training programs to meet the needs of the business and associates.
• Coordinate The Perfect Discovery, ensuring it is run regularly and efficiently in line with the hotel and company standards, legislation and business needs.
• Contribute to ensuring a positive onboarding associate experience that aligns with the hotel and company culture.
• Manage the administration of all training related matters, recording nominations, sending out joining instructions and pre-course forms, following up with feedback forms and issuing certificates, etc., in the absence of the Talent Development Supervisor / Assistant Talent Development Manager.
• Co-ordinate and monitor associate participating in external training and educational programs, ensuring promissory note is signed, gaining feedback and carrying out evaluation.
• Evaluate all training, reviewing feedback from associates and managers, and amending contents where appropriate.
• Support in compiling the Hotel’s talent development budget and monitor expenditure monthly.
• Monitor present and future trends, practices and systems in the training field and make recommendations relating thereto.
• Support where appropriate to the Director of Security and Hygiene Manager and department in relation to the organization and administration of Health and Safety training.
• Compile and analyze performance review results, providing clear and concise reports to department heads and senior management.
• Collaborate with departmental managers to implement targeted training initiatives.
• Ensure each department conducts a The Daily Calling incorporating a 10-minute training session on the departmental standard of the week, in absence of Talent Development Supervisor / Assistant Talent Development Manager.
• Implement trainings to build employee confidence, particularly in areas identified for improvement.
• Development/updating of Talent Development policies and procedures as required, such as contractual information, associate journey book, handbooks, legislation or company policy.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Maintain Talent Development areas, including e-notice boards and office areas on a daily basis.
• Posts on media/communication platforms such as LinkedIn, Rosewood Doha Associates Instagram page and Insider as requested and where needed.
Job summary The Talent Development Manager will play a vital role in crafting and implementing a comprehensive training program that empowers our associates to embody our service philosophy with passion and adaptability. This position will be responsible for integrating the training initiatives with the ongoing professional growth of all team members across departments, ensuring alignment with Rosewood Hotels’ standards and vision. In this role, the Talent Development Manager will oversee all aspects of training and development, including scheduling and facilitating current programs, introducing new learning opportunities, and maintaining the highest standards for associate development throughout the hotel.
