Join Arup’s globally integrated Talent, Learning & Leadership team as a Talent Development Partner, reporting to the Global Director of Talent. In this pivotal role, you will shape and drive Arup’s talent strategy, embedding innovative and high-impact talent development initiatives that support business growth. You will work across a complex, matrixed organisation spanning 12 countries in East Asia, South East Asia and ANZ, ensuring our talent programs are globally aligned yet locally relevant. Partnering closely with senior stakeholders, you will influence talent priorities, enhance leadership pipelines, and create development pathways that inspire and empower our people to thrive.

As a trusted advisor, you will leverage data-driven insights, external market trends, and best practices to strengthen talent mobility, succession planning, and career development across the business. You will act as a catalyst for culture change, collaborating with People Partners and senior leaders to embed a future-fit, diverse, and high-performing workforce. This role is perfect for a dynamic professional who thrives in complexity, brings a strategic mindset, and is passionate about developing talent at scale to drive business impact.

This role will preferably be based in Singapore or Hong Kong, however we'll consider other locations in East Asia.

The Opportunity 

Develop & Implement Regional Talent Strategies – Collaborate with Regional People Leaders, People Partners, and CoE teams to design and execute regional talent plans, aligning with global priorities and leveraging data-driven insights. Strengthen Leadership Pipeline & Succession Planning – Build credible regional succession plans for key leadership roles, identifying strengths, risks, and opportunities to enhance and diversify leadership talent.  Drive Talent & Leadership Processes – Ensure quality, consistency, and successful delivery of Arup’s key talent and leadership initiatives, overseeing timelines, milestones, and stakeholder engagement. Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – Embed inclusive talent management practices, coaching stakeholders on EDI principles and collaborating with EDI specialists to drive equitable talent outcomes. Leverage Talent Analytics & Insights – Source, analyse, and apply predictive talent data to inform decision-making, track progress, and integrate talent insights into Arup’s internal mobility and future skills strategies.

Is this role right for you? 

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field; Advanced degree a plus. HR professional qualification preferred Minimum 8+ years of experience in HR, Talent Management, People partnering, organizational development or related experience  Expertise in Talent Management & HR Leadership – Proven track record in talent management processes and practices, with the ability to embed and influence change at both an organizational and team level. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement & Influence – Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire trust, drive collaboration, and engage senior stakeholders. Data-Driven Decision Making – Skilled in analyzing talent data, storytelling, and presenting insights to support strategic decision-making, including preparing reports, board papers, and business cases. Agility & Problem-Solving – Ability to manage conflicting priorities, balancing immediate business needs with long-term talent strategies, while navigating complexity and change. Growth Mindset & Integrity – Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient, demonstrating curiosity, ambition, and a strong commitment to Arup’s values and continuous improvement.
