Talent Management Specialist

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Talent Management Specialist II to join our growing Talent Management team. In this hands-on and agile role, you’ll contribute to the seamless execution of company-wide talent management programs, supporting performance cycles, talent reviews, and career development initiatives. You’ll manage small-scale projects from start to finish and work closely on day-to-day operations, all while gaining experience testing and refining processes in Workday. This role is perfect for someone passionate about data, process management, and employee/user experience, and who wants to grow their career in talent management. Your efforts will be essential in ensuring that our talent management initiatives run seamlessly and create a meaningful impact for all Affirmers. No fine print here. If this sounds like you, please READ ON!

What You’ll Do Represent our team as our first-in-line support to Affirmers, monitoring channels such as Workday help cases and employee questions on Slack, and addressing issues consistently and in alignment with current processes. Take ownership of routine operational tasks within talent management, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.  Manage small-scale projects from start to finish, ensuring deliverables are met and aligned with the project’s overall objectives. Collaborate closely with the immediate team and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. Support the testing and implementation of Workday Talent processes, ensuring the technology seamlessly supports our talent practices. Ensure all records and documentation for talent management initiatives are accurate and up to date, maintaining data integrity for program systems and tools.  Coordinate with functional partners on data requests, updates, and integrations.  Input, analyze, and synthesize data to enable informed decision-making and continuous improvement by the Talent Management team. Identify trends, recommend enhancements, and support program tracking using various metrics. What We Look For 3+ years of program management experience, ideally for people-related programs and/or at an organization that has scaled beyond 2,500 employees (you’ll need to create and execute on project plans, stakeholder management, communications, etc.) Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with 2+ years managing and analyzing data, ideally people or program data, with intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills (e.g., creating pivot tables, lookup functions, and visualizations). A continuous improvement mentality. You recognize that “perfect” is not an end state, and continually drive for program improvement grounded in end-user feedback and/or industry insights. Strong communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex information and a passion for helping Affirmers resolve system issues, find the information they need, and feel confident about their next steps. A collaborative team player who steps in to support team and organizational success, taking on tasks and responsibilities as needed to drive meaningful outcomes.
