This position will report to the Director of Talent Management and will support areas such as performance management, culture, employee experience, succession planning, leadership and professional development programs. _ *Key Accountabilities*_ * Supports the design, development and implementation of talent management programs and policies (e.g., performance management, talent reviews) * Partners across the Talent Management function on large-scale project plans and resources to drive a positive employee experience * Ensures the integration of talent management solutions across the business by partnering with specialists from other COEs * Supports the implementation of selection tools, standards, policies and practices * Performs data analyses using multiple methods including Excel to measure progress and ROI of employee experience and talent management strategies and programs * Conducts research on best practices in learning and professional and leadership development, and provides recommendations around best practices and business application * Partners with Internal Communications to develop communication plans and campaigns for Talent Management programs and initiatives * Contributes to the development of customized learning paths for employees that incorporate customized and curated learning content and learning resources, which may include e-learning, instructor-led courses, and hands-on workshops, to ensure the training courses are accessible to everyone * Oversees the LEARN admins across the enterprise – providing support, education and training to the admins * Participates in the research, development, and execution of large projects within other areas of Talent Management – ID&E and Talent Acquisition * Assists with planning and coordination for all talent management programs and initiatives _ *Knowledge/Skills*_ • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures • Experience in areas such as job analysis, performance management (e.g., performance appraisals, performance evaluation) • Experience with applied research methodologies and performing data analyses in a professional environment • Project and program management skills to include planning, execution, and managing projects with aggressive timeframes under some supervision • Interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and influencing skills • Relies on extensive and independent judgment to plan work, review results and accomplish goals _ *Experience/Education*_ * Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational, Organization Development, Human Resources Management or related field * Minimum 5 years' experience in talent management or related field _ *Travel Requirements*_ * Minimum Travel _ *Work Environment*_ * Indoor office environment _ *Competencies*_ Champions safety Collaborates Cultivates innovation Customer obsessed Drives Results Nimble learning * Join American Water...We Keep Life Flowing*™ * American Water is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and prohibits employment discrimination for employees and applicants* *based on his or her age, race, color, pregnancy, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, marital status, citizenship, or because they are an individual with a disability, protected veteran or other status protected by federal, state, and local laws.*
