Job Details

The Talent Manager provides professional consultation in areas related to recruiting, talent assessment, succession planning, retention initiatives, and advertising . This role will lead full life-cycle recruitment efforts for hourly and exempt level positions focused on executing all aspects of the recruitment process including creating and executing sourcing strategies, interviewing and assessment of candidates and offers in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and FMCSA guidelines .

Qualifications Drive the end-to-end exempt recruiting process which includes gathering job requirements, developing and executing effective sourcing strategies/advertising plans, assessing job applicants, and supporting employment offer negotiations through external/internal sourcing. Continuously update our applicant tracking system with all activities related to candidate dispositions, interview progress, and job offer details. Proactively develop and maintain candidate pools for current and future positions. Develop and manage vendor relationships that support talent acquisition and related processes. Actively contributes to reporting needs from leadershipMaintain ongoing succession planning management for Terminals and ensure adequate staffing for exempt level positions. Manage ongoing succession planning management initiatives and monthly meeting updates.Provide training and counsel related to recruitment and talent development process and programs to leadership and staff.Coach hiring managers on recruiting best practices including interviewing and selection.Develop and maintain a strong business partnership with key stakeholdersExperience conducting full life cycle recruitingSound interview and evaluation skillsStrong sourcing background with experience filling roles at the exempt level Ability to develop relationships and effectively influence with key stakeholders and candidates Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills including strong communication skills.Results driven with the proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentAbility to achieve measurable results through collaboration and influenceExceptional planning, coordination, project management and implementation skillsAbility to communicate with employees/candidates at all levels (verbal and written communication skills)Ability to act as an advisor/consultant with management teamStrong presentation skillsBasic understanding of budgeting Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree.Proven track record of progressive HR leadership within an organizationMinimum of 3 years of experience with one year of recruiting Experience conducting full life cycle recruiting across multiple locationsAbility to develop relationships and effectively influence with key stakeholders and candidatesExcellent teamwork and collaboration skills including strong communication skills Need help finding the right job?
