This is a full-time, hourly level position.
Position Summary:
USCG Licensed Tankerman
Essential Job Functions:Follow all USCG regulations and company policies.Follow all safety rules.Be able to identify all parts of a tank barge.Know how to use required PPE.Able to work overtime and weekends Load or offload any ARTCO Tank Barge includes the following tasks:Pre-transfer inspectionPre-transfer conference and execution of the declaration of inspectionConnect cargo hoses or loading armsLine-up cargo systemStart of liquid flow during load/fuelingStart cargo pump and increase discharge pressure during dischargeMonitor flow and tank levelTop off cargo tanks during loading/fuelingStripping cargo tanks during dischargeBallasting/de-ballastingDisconnection of the cargo hoses or loading armsSecuring of cargo systemPerform maintenance on pumps and EnginesPerform maintenance on tank barges,Prepare tank Barge for USCG inspectionPrep and clean tank barges and complete documentationMust have good communication skillsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to maneuver in and out of barge manhole openingsCommitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety proceduresAble to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc), lift up to 55 lbs unassistedMust be able to pass respirator screening Technical Proficiencies:Maintain valid driver’s licensePossess and Maintain USCG LicenseADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
