Task Order Manager / Site Manager
**Purpose and Scope:** Will be assigned with the authority to manage all day-to-day operations; to participate in long-range planning; and to assist the Ascension Base Commander (Det 2 CC) in representing the USG, the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Space Force with the host nation and local community. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF). **Essential Responsibilities:** + Manages basic support services and accompanying labor force for assigned location. + Manages, direct, leads and oversees a diverse team of OCN/LN and USNs in support of Base Operation Services and Mission Support services on a military installation in accordance with the contract. + Meet Contractor’s work requirements, including scheduling of personnel, work supervision, and quality control for all tasks associated with this task order. + Ensure that all requirements are met as defined in the Performance Work Statement. + Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of the operation. Will be accountable for production, supply, production control/planning and quality management aspects of operation. + Makes decisions and directs all subcontractors and all subcontracting services necessary to maintain a capability to perform under this requirement at all locations to include the PSFB/CCSFS area. + Communicate new requirements, concerns, and issues to PMO for resolution. + Ensure that requirements are met for employee health, morale, and welfare. + Ensure that employees adhere the Armed Forces and host nation standards of conduct concerning in-theater operations. + Effectively manage any employee management issues that may arise. + Closely supervises equipment and material within assigned area of responsibility. + Closely supervises the arrival, retrofit, and upgrade of equipment and material as assigned. + Submits timely contract reports and deliverables required by the United States Government. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** + Must have at least six (6) years of experience as a supervisor; four (4) years of experiences as a Deputy Program Manager or Program Manager or Site Manager in a similar capacity. + A minimum of ten (10) years of experience related to the requirements and qualifications necessary to manage and perform the tasks outlined in the PWS to include experience managing day-to-day operations; participating in long-range planning; and assisting in the representation of the USG with Host Nation and local communities. + Possess excellent communication, analytical, project management and supervisory skills. + Desktop computer skills are essential with proficiency in full range of Microsoft Office products and should be capable of preparing management level reports and presentations. + Possess a valid state issued driver’s license and passport. + Ability to exercise discretion and make effective decisions. + Must be a USN to fill the position. + Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills. + Strong ability to work and lead as a member of a diverse, dynamic team. + Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. + Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment + Prior overseas government contracting experience preferred. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** + The SM shall be located at Ascension Island, and must be available, physically or remotely, during emergencies with the authority to direct contract personnel. + Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication and constant mental alertness. + Must be available within four (4) hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel (designated by the ACO) to discuss focus areas. + Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. **OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES** **Safety** - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
