Description A reputable firm in Fallbrook is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will manage a variety of tax-related responsibilities, including preparing returns, providing strategic tax planning advice, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns in compliance with applicable laws. + Analyze financial records and provide tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance. + Stay up-to-date on tax regulations and make recommendations regarding changes that could impact clients or the firm. + Respond to client inquiries and provide accurate, professional advice regarding tax-related matters. + Assist with audits by gathering financial data and preparing documentation as needed. + Provide tax forecasting and planning services to help clients achieve financial goals. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships. Requirements + 3+ years of tax accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or tax advisory setting. + CPA designation or working toward CPA status preferred. + Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations. + Proficiency with tax software and accounting tools such as Lacerte, ProSeries, or similar platforms. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
