Tax Analyst
Description Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and file state and local sales and use tax returns on a timely basis + Review sales and purchase transactions to ensure proper tax treatment + Maintain tax exemption certificates and ensure they are up-to-date and valid + Conduct research on tax laws, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance + Assist with tax audits by gathering data, providing documentation, and responding to inquiries + Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and resolve any discrepancies + Work with internal teams (e.g., Accounting, Procurement, Sales) to address tax-related issues + Monitor changes in tax regulations and recommend adjustments to tax processes as needed + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports for management + Support special projects related to tax planning and process improvements Requirements Job Description: Sales and Use Tax Analyst The Sales and Use Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and local sales and use tax laws. This role involves preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining tax records, and conducting detailed tax research. The Sales and Use Tax Analyst will also support audits, analyze transactions for tax implications, and ensure accurate tax reporting and remittance. Key responsibilities include reviewing sales and purchase transactions, managing exemption certificates, and staying up-to-date on tax regulations to minimize tax liabilities. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with tax software are essential for success in this role.
