What You Will Do: The role will involve the following: • Indirect Tax Compliance – preparation and filing of group indirect tax filing obligations, including US sales & use tax, Canadian GST, UK VAT, and Australian VAT returns. • Direct Tax Compliance – assistance with and partnering with tax consultants in corporate income tax filings worldwide (e.g., US, UK, Canada and Australia). • Quarterly and yearend tax provision calculations and partnering with the accounting function to record tax related journal entries. • Support of various corporate ad-hoc reporting and partnering with other functions (e.g., HR/payroll, legal, finance and accounting). • Support related to various tax matters, including cash tax forecasting, tax provision reporting, R&D credit claims, transfer pricing and other ad-hoc projects. • Assist with and develop policies and procedures related to the above. Experience/Knowledge You Will Need: Candidates should ideally have: • Graduate with a finance related degree. • Technologically competent – Oracle/NetSuite, Tax provision software, Office 365 tools, etc. • Excel skill level intermediate or higher (pivot tables, lookups, ‘If’ and ‘Index’ formulae, etc.). • Ability to create simple PowerPoint slides. • Basic understanding of tax and related jargon. • Good communications skills. • Strong spoken and written English skills. Desirable: • Corporate Tax experience. • Accounting/Finance experience.
