Tax Analyst

Location:  Philadelphia PA or Riverwoods/Chicago IL (Hybrid – 8 days a month in the office)

About the Role:
As a Tax Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing and preparing more complex tax records and filings, while providing valuable insights into tax compliance and strategies. This position builds upon foundational knowledge, enabling you to assist in special projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the organization's tax obligations are met efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file intermediate-level tax returns and documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive and updated tax records.
• Help implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and forecasts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data for tax filings.
• Review and ensure accuracy in tax calculations and submissions.
• Conduct research on current tax laws and regulations.
• Respond to more complex tax inquiries from internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and present routine tax reports for management.
• Identify and address discrepancies in tax documentation.

Skills:
• Intermediate Tax Knowledge: General understanding of tax principles.
• Tax Software Proficiency: Competence in using tax preparation software preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to review tax data.

• Effective Communication: Conveys tax information to non-experts.
• Time Management: Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines.
• Problem-Solving: Identifies and resolves tax issues.
• Reporting: Ability to generate tax reports.

What You'll Need:

Education: bachelor’s degree in a related major preferred but not required, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:  experience preparing tax returns preferred, but not required.

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA:: $76,350 - $105,700
