Job Type: Tax Analyst
Location: Princeton, NJ
Pay: $35/hr+
An international manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to assist their team in preparation of the Indirect Tax compliance process. This role is slated to be a 9 month contract with potential for extension. The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing tax audits conducted by multiple taxing jurisdictions and maintain corporate wide policies to ensure the company remains compliant. The ideal candidate will have 6 years of sales and use tax experience, strong MS Excel skills, and exposure to a large ERP.
What you'll be responsible for:
Processes various payment types including automated and/or manual electronic payment requests according to system and customer requirementsWork with all operating companies to establish written procedures and best practices for proper handling of various taxes covering areas, such as reportingWork with internal audit to establish internal control documentation and recommending testing protocolsPreparation of Sales and Use Tax Returns and Abandoned Unclaimed Property Tax ReturnsPreparation of Canadian VAT Returns and Puerto Rico Tax ReturnsAssist all operating companies in ensuring proper filing jurisdictions (Nexus)Research to properly classify new products and products purchasedWork directly with A/R, A/P, and BU Controllers on proper tax status of customers’ purchases, taxability of company purchases, and other direct marketing products, such as samplesDetermination of purchases and goods movement subject to Consumer’s Use TaxMaintain process for updating jurisdictional exemption/resale certificates to stay in complianceAssist in Sales & Use Tax matters to ensure complianceAssist state and local auditsMaintain appropriate documentation for auditsSupport the Senior Tax Manager and Director of Tax as required on all Indirect Tax mattersAssist in dealing with customers on sales tax refund claims and other customer related issuesOther duties as assigned.What you’ll bring:
5+ years of sales and use tax experienceBachelor's in Finance or Accounting, or a business skillsetFamiliarity with a tax research software, such as BNA and CCH preferredWhat you’ll get:

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
