**Organization:**
SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley
**Position Overview:**
Prepares and/or coordinates preparation of annual tax returns for not-for-profit affiliates and controlled joint ventures. Analyzes and provides detailed review of tax work papers and other return information to ensure compliance with governmental reporting requirements. Reviews and/or prepares other filings associated with sales tax, excise tax, payroll tax, property tax, and estimated tax payments. Performs tax research and works on projects (e.g., tracking Unrelated Business Income and analyzing joint ventures).

**EDUCATION:**
+ Bachelor's: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
**CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:**
+ CPA-Certified Public Accountant
**TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:**
+ 5 years of recent relevant experience.
**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:**
+ Working knowledge of corporate tax return/filing requirements.
+ Knowledge of accounting and/or finance operations along with an understanding of fund accounting.
+ Ability to read and analyze detailed trial balance and financial statements.
+ Ability to read, comprehend, interpret and apply policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory and legal requirements.
+ Ability to translate complex information & analysis into reports and presentations for appropriate audience.
+ Critical thinking analytical skills.
+ Organization skills and attention to details.
+ Displays a customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
+ Ability to prioritize workload to complete assignments accurately and timely, and to meet strict timelines.
+ Ability to communicate through verbal and written means.
+ Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
+ Demonstrates respect for cultural and linguistic differences and promotes an inclusive work environment.
+ Demonstrates initiative in providing feedback/input to improve workflow/processes.

Pay Range is $48.72 to $73.08 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
