Tax Analyst Intermediate (3-6 years)
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Tax Analyst Intermediate in Newark, Delaware. The role is focused on tax analysis and research, with a significant emphasis on tax withholding and reporting. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid setting, with a requirement for office attendance during the tax season. Responsibilities: • Accurately processing customer credit applications • Conducting thorough tax analysis and research • Ensuring tax withholding and reporting are completed accurately • Performing tax reconciliations to ensure all records are accurate • Overseeing AEOI - FATCA and CRS reporting for a custodial financial institution • Handling 1042S, T5/T5008, and 1099 B and 1099 Div reporting • Validating W forms for US Indicia and applying back up withholding • Maintaining accurate customer credit records • Communicating effectively with senior management • Adhering to procedures, controls, and deadlines • Ensuring consistency in information reporting practices within accounting systems • Preparing and maintaining procedure documentation • Mapping process flow for transaction information and recipient information for CIB clients • Preparing communication on the status of tax document preparation progress, accuracy, and correction and presenting to Management • Maintaining metrics on account filings and corrections • Researching, communicating, and resolving questions for key stakeholders • Performing preliminary checks on tax reporting information before Tax Season and Print Day validations • Assisting in overall needs of the team and providing support in areas of specialty as well as during peak periods. Requirements • Proven experience as a Tax Analyst for a minimum of 3 to 6 years. • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and team members. • Solid management skills to oversee tax-related projects. • Proficiency in creating and analyzing various types of reports. • Knowledge of tax procedures and the ability to apply them effectively. • Analytical skills to evaluate tax data and make recommendations. • Research skills to stay updated on tax laws and regulations. • Project management abilities to oversee tax-related projects from inception to completion. • Experience with reconciliations and check processing. • Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks as required. • Track record of making progress in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in tax accounting and filing procedures. • Familiarity with best practices in the tax field. • Experience preparing financial notes and metric reporting. • Ability to work with real estate-related tax issues. • Good attendance record demonstrating reliability and commitment. • Knowledge of tax laws as they relate to entity formation. • Familiarity with Zoom for virtual meetings and discussions. • Experience creating and implementing validation plans. • Knowledge of IRS regulations and procedures. • Proficiency in various accounting systems.
