Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Assistant in San Francisco, California. The chosen candidate will be part of our team that caters to a diverse range of clients, focusing on Sales & Use Tax compliance and providing administrative support to the Indirect Tax practice. Responsibilities: • Responsible for the preparation of sales & use tax returns, property tax returns, business license, and other tax returns • Engage in administrative tasks and take on special projects as required • Assist in the preparation of documents and/or extensions • Maintain an electronic filing system by scanning documents • Carry out account reconciliations as part of routine tasks • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. • Proficiency in account analysis and related software. • Demonstrable experience in a similar role such as Tax Assistant or Tax Associate. • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations. • Strong analytical skills with a focus on details. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Commitment to continuous learning and growth in the field of tax and finance.
