We’re looking for a Tax Associate. Can you picture yourself here? Here’s what you’d do: The Tax Associate is responsible for various aspects of sales and use tax and business personal property tax for BrightView Holdings, Inc., and subsidiaries. The Tax Associate interacts with the accounting and finance team in meeting all sales and use and business personal property tax filings. The role is responsible for preparing and review tax filings. You’d be responsible for: + Prepares sales and use tax returns for all legal entities of the company in various jurisdictions. + Prepares annual business personal property tax returns/renditions. + Review personal property assessed values and file appeals where required. + Process and track payments for personal property tax bills + Research tax law and tax rate changes + Analyze Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable entries for all legal entities to ensure compliance with state and local sales and use tax laws. + Maintain accurate tax rate files within the ERP system. + File business license applications and renewals + Other miscellaneous filings and administrative tasks as needed. You might be a good fit if you have: + Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred) + Team-oriented and able to multi-task, problem solve and work within deadlines. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + Organized and highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Computer experience required. + List required/preferred knowledge or skills (Example: certifications, computer skills, laws, regulations) + List required/preferred abilities/soft skills (Example: attention to detail, team-orientated) Here’s what to know about working here: Here at BrightView, we’re as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about caring for each other.
