Tax Associate / Tax Sr. Associate
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Sr. - Corporate in Newton, Massachusetts. The individual will be responsible for utilizing their skills and knowledge in the tax field to manage potential tax issues, gather necessary client information, participate in tax planning, and ensure compliance. This role will also involve supervising and reviewing the work of other associates. Responsibilities: • Utilize research skills and apply tax foundational knowledge to understand and manage potential tax issues • Gather necessary client information for tax filing • Act as the main client contact for general questions and information • Monitor federal, state, and local tax returns for operating partnerships and s-corporations • Conduct research and compliance analysis relating to various state and/or local tax reporting requirements • Draft communications to respond to notices from tax authorities • Prepare tax returns using various accounting software systems • Analyze state tax positions to suggest tax minimization actions based on the partner’s personal facts and circumstances • Assist in tracking tax return filing and payment due dates to ensure compliance • Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other ERP Solutions to manage accounting functions and ensure compliance. Skills: • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services • Familiarity with CapEx • Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions • Understanding of Accounting Functions • Proficiency in Auditing • Familiarity with Budget Processes • Experience in managing Cash Activity • Strong understanding of Compliance.
