This role offers the opportunity to lead tax consulting engagements, mentor junior team members, and provide strategic tax solutions to a diverse client base.

  Manager – Tax Consulting Responsibilities: Lead and participate in tax consulting engagements, including corporate reorganizations, estate freezes, and estate litigation. Research and analyze complex tax issues and communicate findings effectively. Review tax models, compliance forms, and legal documents related to tax planning. Provide training and support to the compliance team on tax-related topics. Liaise with the Canada Revenue Agency and provincial tax authorities on client matters. Assist in writing bi-weekly tax articles for internal and external distribution. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and best practices. Meet billable target hours and contribute to business development efforts. Mentor and develop junior tax professionals within the firm.
  Manager – Tax Consulting Qualifications: CPA designation required. Completion or near completion of CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course. 5+ years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax planning, corporate reorganizations, and dispute resolution. Strong technical knowledge of Canadian income tax laws and ability to conduct tax research. Experience with CCH Taxprep, CaseWare, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
