Tax & Controlling Lead

As a Tax & Controlling Lead, you will be responsible for various aspects relating to general accounting and tax in our Manufacturing Center in Cluj. This includes overall responsibility for the month-end trial balance, both for statutory and US GAAP requirements, maintaining and recommending policies and procedures for internal controls, reviewing reconciliations and balance sheet oversight, managing tax reporting and ensuring compliance with existing laws and regulations. The position will work closely with other departments supporting the plant, as well as other key stakeholders.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Reviewing the factory’s trial balance, ensuring accuracy of the financial statements both for US GAAP and statutory reporting Reviewing the balance sheet account reconciliations, performing trend analysis and ensuring outstanding items are followed up timely Reviewing the cost center reports and ensuring their accuracy and integrity Managing income tax reporting, transfer pricing reporting, supervising and reviewing non-standard transactions from a fiscal perspective and keeping up to date with the changes in the Romanian legislation Evaluating and recommending appropriate accounting methods and ensuring a healthy control environment, in line with statutory requirements and group policies & procedures Liaising closely with other colleagues allocated to the site, performing regular reviews and having regular feedback sessions with the department leaders to ensure accuracy of financial statements and efficient processes Key player in the interaction with internal and external audits for the review of the site’s financial records Owning and coordinating the fixed assets annual count for the site Playing an active role in the various projects conducted at site and campus level (e.g. system changes, fiscal changes, changes in operations, etc.) Acting as a business partner for the other various departments and functions, as needed Other projects as defined by Finance Manager Who You Are:   You experiment with a wide range of existing technologies while applying new and emerging options that can enhance organizational outcomes. You provide balanced feedback at the most critical times. You promote a sense of urgency and establish and enforce individual accountability in the team. You enjoy multi-tasking, and also applying knowledge of the organization to advance multiple objectives.   For This Role, You Will Need: Relevant university degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience  Very good accounting and tax knowledge  Organized, proactive, ethical and enthusiastic individual Good IT skills incl. Excel, PowerPoint Proficiency in English Good communication skills  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Knowledge of Oracle Accounting certification Working in a manufacturing environment   Our Offer To You:
