You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits and competitive pay in addition to growth opportunities and excellent retirement options. **Job Summary:** Responsible for the overall tax function, which includes tax planning and strategy, tax research, tax accounting, preparing all Corporate State and Local income apportionment schedules, and manage process around state and local transaction tax compliance. The specific areas of tax compliance include state income tax, sales and use tax, international tax, VAT, gross receipts tax, property tax, and business license tax **Responsibilities** **Job Responsibilities:** + Lead the development of appropriate technical tax conclusions, ensure proper filing of tax returns and provide assistance with data collection, compilation and tax advisement. + Research and analyze U.S. state and international tax issues including SOFA and/or Tax Treaty applicability. + Advise business and functional leaders on tax risks/opportunities on contracts and other proposed transactions. + Minimize audit exposure by ensuring compliance within the various subsidiaries. + Ability to work with and assist Company’s upper management with Tax research and analysis on state and local compliance issues, project control, procurement, accounts payable and billing issues. + Develop and maintain internal sales and use tax training and taxation guides and implementation of tax minimization strategies. + Prepare technical and non-technical memoranda and correspondence for files and internal subsidiaries. + Manage state and local tax audits in a timely and professional manner. + Assist on managing external tax advisors as needed. + Review all state and local tax returns including sales, use, gross receipt, personal property, business license, and VAT returns. + Review and approve all Tax Check requests and ACH Requests. + Manage and/or assist internally with Tax environment within Deltek’s Cost Point. + Capital Fixed Asset and depreciation review including maintaining acquisitions and dispositions, running various Cognos reports, reviewing and updating direct project expense allocations and monthly depreciation calculations. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Strong process engineering skills and extremely detail oriented. + Ability to handle multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines is critical.Bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting major. + Strong Excel and accounting systems skills. + 10 years of general tax experience (Experience with a Big 4 or Mid–size accounting firm or large corporate tax department of a multinational company is a plus). + CPA Certification preferred.
