Role Description:

CoStar Group is continuing to acquire and grow at a rapid pace and is now in need of a Tax Director to support the ever evolving and growing needs of such a diverse company. The Tax Director will be responsible for obtaining and analyzing information necessary to meet the tax accounting and compliance requirements of CoStar Group.  Working with individuals within the company as well as outside advisers, the Tax Director will be actively involved in the preparation of the tax provision and related disclosures as well as income and indirect tax returns.  The Tax Director will report to the Senior Director, Tax.

Responsibilities:

Assist with quarterly and annual ASC 740 financial reporting for domestic and international entities including preparation of effective tax rate, current/deferred income taxes and valuation allowance issuesAssist with preparation of U.S. federal, state income and franchise tax returns, estimates and extensionsPerform tax research and planning regarding various tax issuesWork with Accounting Department to ensure capture of information as required for tax accounting and complianceMaintain tax accounts including required reconciliationsAssist in resolution of federal, state, and local tax notices and auditsAssist with indirect tax filings:  sales and use, personal property, etc.Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Knowledge of tax accounting requirements under U.S. GAAPExperience with tax research toolsKnowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Solid workpaper technique and organizational skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or related from an accredited, not-for-profit University or CollegeA track record of commitment to prior employers12+ years of corporate tax experienceProgressive responsibility in tax accounting and/or tax compliance in public accounting or private industryASC 740 experienceExperience with OneSource Tax Provision a plusExperience with Oracle a plus

We welcome all qualified candidates who are currently eligible to work full-time in the United States to apply. However, please note that CoStar Group is not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position. This position offers a base salary range of $152,000 - $206,000, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
