Description Tax Director Location: North Houston, TX (In-Office) Our client, a rapidly growing company with operations across multiple states and an international footprint, is seeking a Tax Director for a newly created position. This is an immediate opportunity to join a dynamic organization and lead the development of efficient tax processes. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee and manage all aspects of sales and use tax compliance across multiple states and international jurisdictions. + Implement and optimize efficient tax processes to streamline compliance and reporting. + Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations while minimizing risk and maximizing efficiencies. + Evaluate, implement, and enhance tax technology and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency. + Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to support business growth and expansion. + Lead and mentor a tax team, providing strategic guidance and fostering a high-performance culture. Requirements Qualifications: + 10+ years of overall tax experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role. + Multi-state sales and use tax experience is required. + Strong proficiency in tax systems and technology to drive automation and efficiency. + CPA or other relevant certifications strongly preferred. + MST, MBA, or other advanced degrees preferred.
