The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Tax Intern. In this role, you will primarily support Valvoline's Transaction Tax Specialist with preparing audit documentation for ongoing sales and use audits, and other aspects of State and Local sales, use, property, and business license tax compliance processes as needed. Duties include pulling and analyzing documents for state sales and use tax audits, maintaining spreadsheets with requested data and results, and consulting with the Transaction Tax Specialist on documentation and presentation of results.

How You'll Make a Difference

Support the Transaction Tax team with sales and use tax audits, including pulling and analyzing supporting documents and preparing schedules for audit support.Provide other support for Transaction Tax, including Property tax, and possibly State and Federal Income Tax, team(s) as needed.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree or related field; focus on taxation is preferredWorking toward becoming CPA eligibleExperience with Excel, PowerPoint, and WordTechnology savvyTeam playerAbility to communicate with analytical, and critical thinking skillsDetail oriented and organizedMust be authorized to work in the U.S.
