Summary of Position
Responsible for assisting with U.S. federal and state tax compliance, income tax accounting and other income and indirect tax issues.
Intern Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in preparation of federal and state tax compliance workpapers and statementsAssist in income tax accounting schedules and interim tax accounting processesMaintain filing system for internal recordsManage the regular update and distribution of internal tracking documentationCollaborate with other departments on various indirect tax matters including property taxes, sales taxes, etc.Keep up to date on changes in tax law, administrative and judicial decisions, and other relevant items through current technical readingEnsure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriatelyAdhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisorQualifications
•Class Year(s): Currently enrolled as a Graduate Student in an Accounting or Tax Program.
• GPA: 3.0+
• Availability: Must be available to work in St. Petersburg, Florida from May 19, 2025 – Aug 8, 2025.
• Leadership Skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision Making Skills, & Resilience.
