Looking to build connections, careers, and the future? Do this and more as a Gordon Food Service intern!  Find your place in our Finance department with internships available in Tax/Internal Audit. In our summer internship, you will gain exposure to both operational tax and internal audit within the organization.

Our 12-week paid internship program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Throughout the program, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry. 

Build Connections By:  

Our Tax teams administers, calculates, and remits all income and indirect taxes for the US, Canada, and states, including filing all income and indirect tax returns and related forms, preparing related journal entries and account reconciliations, and resolving issues/answering questions with auditors, external customers, and stakeholders across GFS.

Our Internal Audit teams perform risk mitigation, process improvement, assurance consulting, and internal controls testing for all North American operations within GFS with a focus on operations.

Collaborating  with other Gordon Food Service interns and employees in the following areas: 

Communications & Legal Risk 

Finance

Human Resources 

IT 

Marketing & Merchandising 

Supply Chain 

Attending unique networking opportunities 

Engaging in our mentorship program 

Shadowing jobs across the organization to explore your career path potential. 

Participating in Gordon Food Services’ community and stewardship efforts. 

Learning from experts in personal finance, LinkedIn best practices, sharpening your presentation skills, and more.

Meeting the following qualifications to be considered for our 2025 internship program: 

Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Must be authorized to work in the US.

Desire to learn and implement tax and internal audit strategies
