Premier CPA / Public Accounting Firm is seeking Tax Managers and / or Senior Tax Managers who are interested in a role that will allow them to move into a Partner role in the 2 years (+/-) time frame. - Excellent career growth opportunityWhat You Will Be Doing"Lead the tax practice for one of the assigned verticals and / or regions
" Research tax issues that may impact our clients' financial position
" Successfully resolve tax issues identified that impact clients' business
" Provide strong technical knowledge on corporate, individual, and partnership tax planning, consulting, and compliance activities for our clients
" Communicate with the IRS, and other tax authorities on behalf of clients' tax matters, and serve as a client representative for any tax-related audit
" Conduct tax research using authorized tax software programs and technology
" Supervise, mentor, develop and review other professional Tax Staff members
" Oversee engagement budgets throughout assignments
" Keep firm Partners updated on status of all client engagements
" Develop and sustain strong client relationships
" Participate in client proposals and new business development opportunities
" Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards, while evaluating the potential impact on clients' business interestsWhat You Need for this Position"Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field
" An advanced Tax degree (MST, LLM, JD) is a plus
" CPA license or EA certification is required
" 8+ years of relevant tax compliance experience gained in a CPA firm, a professional services firm, or tax consulting practice
" Strong tax compliance, analysis and tax research experience
" Proficient with use of CCH and other tax-related software technology
" Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite tools
" Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
" Excellent analytical and organizational skills
