The Tax Manager is responsible for managing the overall tax operations within the organization. The Tax Manager will oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, coordinate with external tax advisors, and lead a team of tax professionals. The successful candidate must have strong technical knowledge in tax accounting and be able to provide strategic advice on complex business tax matters.
Position Overview
The Tax Manager will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of all tax operations, including the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns. The Tax Manager will also provide advice and counsel on tax matters and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns in a timely manner. Provide strategic tax advice on complex business tax matters. Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws. Ensure accurate and timely payment of taxes. Manage external tax advisors, as needed. Lead a team of tax professionals and provide mentorship and guidance.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant tax preparation and management experience. Strong technical knowledge of tax accounting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. CPA or other relevant tax certifications a plus.
