EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager. This position can be located at either our Germantown, MD or Englewood, CO location. This position focuses primarily on U.S. Federal and State Income tax matters and tax provision.

Responsibilities:

Prepares and completes tax returns and reports involved with federal and state income taxesAssist in the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and quarterly estimated and extension payment computationsSupport the company’s corporate income tax provision process for compliance with US GAAP/SEC reporting as required by ASC 740Assist with federal and state income tax audits, as necessaryResearch developments in tax law to determine appropriate tax methods and identify tax savings opportunities for the companySupport various special projects and assist with ad hoc tax assignments as needed in all areas of tax, including assistance with research & development studies, oversight of the fixed assets tax ledger, tax notice correspondence, etc.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's in accounting, finance or related field5+ years of experience in income tax compliance and income tax accounting reporting under ASC 740

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to exercise judgment with defined procedures and practicesDemonstrate proactive behavior/involvement to make recommendations and facilitate decision making CPA certificationMaster of Business in TaxationFamiliarity with OneSource Tax Provision Software, Longview Tax Provision Software CorpTax and Sage Fixed Assets is a plusAbility to write tax position papers and technical memos to support Company’s tax positions

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $84,000.00 - $112,000.00
