BASIC FUNCTION:

The Tax Manager position is responsible for managing the tax function of Drury Hotels including state and local sales tax work with various duties in the sales tax area of Drury Hotels. The position requires the preparation of annual income tax returns. This person will also be responsible for audit management and monitoring of tax compliance.  This position requires a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture with co-workers, vendors & customers.  

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

Requires ability to relate to the public and co-workers in a warm, friendly manner contributing to a hospitable environment.  Requires ability to give attention to detail and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.  Requires a thorough knowledge of Company policies and procedures as they relate to job responsibilities.  Requires ability to maintain effective working relationships with vendors and service providers.  Must have the ability to work efficiently and independently. 

Education and/or Experience:      

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant sales tax experience required.

4+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Workday experience preferred.

Advanced Excel knowledge required.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

CPA certification, a plus.
