Tax Manager
Description We are offering an opportunity for a meticulous and organized Tax Manager to join our CPA firm based in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. This role involves managing tax operations, supervising staff, and interacting with clients in a professional setting. Responsibilities: • Supervising tax services and ensuring the quality of work produced by the tax department. • Managing and delegating work to staff effectively to ensure efficient operations. • Handling tax operations for individual, partnership, and corporate returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. • Utilizing various accounting software systems and ERP for efficient tax management and compliance. • Engaging directly with clients to address tax-related inquiries and issues. • Implementing and managing auditing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Adhering to and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. • Assisting with entity formation and income tax accounting tasks. • Utilizing ADP Financial Services and CCH Sales Tax for effective financial management and tax compliance. • Providing guidance and training to staff on accounting functions and practices. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Ability to handle Accounting Functions • Experience in Auditing • Strong understanding of Compliance procedures • Knowledge of Entity Formation processes • Experience in Income Tax Accounting • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required • Minimum of five years of experience in a public accounting firm • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to lead and supervise a team • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Familiarity with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
