DescriptionAs a Tax Manager, you will join our dynamic Tax team to support them through a busy and exciting period of growth. With a wide range of knowledge and experience to apply directly to this role, you will positively influence and guide the rest of the team, whilst working on complex problems and assisting with advisory projects. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build long-lasting relationships, to oversee the relationships with our HNW clients from a tax perspective and ensure compliance and procedures are adhered to.
This role supports home-based or hybrid working, with occasional travel when required (Leeds, Nottingham, Edinburgh, London, Worthing, or Exeter). \n
Key Responsibilities\nProviding high quality personal tax compliance, from review to completion, for a diverse portfolio of clients.\nRegularly communicate with HMRC to ensure clients’ tax affairs are kept up to date.\nBuild long-lasting and positive relationships with clients and respond to enquiries when required.\nMaintain technical knowledge and expertise to advise clients and team members about any changes in legislation or practice when required, whilst spotting opportunities to provide other services across the business. \nManage workloads of junior members of the team to provide feedback and identify capabilities and training requirements.\n
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nCTA Qualified (fully or part, essential)\nATT Qualified (essential)\nSubstantial experience in a similar previous role, dealing with personal taxation.\nDemonstratable experience of preparing tax returns and managing a portfolio of personal tax clients. \nExcellent attention to detail to identify technical issues that may not be obvious or easily identified.\nExcellent working knowledge of all areas of tax compliance work.\nPlease refer to our job description to review the responsibilities and person specification in more detail.
