Description
Management Resources is seeking an Interim Tax Manager for a 3 month contract opportunity. The Tax Manager will be entrusted with overseeing the company's tax-related procedures, managing outsource partners, and ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the company's external tax partners to ensure all tax-related tasks are completed accurately and promptly
• Handle all aspects of the company's US taxes, including property tax, indirect taxes, and local and state income tax accounting
• Collaborate with international tax professionals to manage all international taxes and related filing, accounting, and compliance matters
• Analyze complex transactions to identify planning opportunities and assess tax implications
• Oversee the end-to-end execution of the compliance process
• Prepare and maintain quarterly and annual consolidated worldwide income tax provision workpapers under US GAAP ASC 740 and IFRS IAS 12
• Ensure all income tax-related general ledger accounts are properly recorded and reconciled
• Supervise the timely and accurate filing of corporate income tax returns for all relevant tax jurisdictions within the US, Europe, and Asia
• Manage all aspects of the company's Sales & Use Tax compliance, Gross Receipts Tax, and Property Taxes
• Handle compliance vendor relationships and global audit responses.
Requirements
• Professional experience in the Real Estate & Property industry
• Proven experience as a Tax Manager or similar role
• Strong knowledge of Annual Income Tax Provision
• Proficiency in Corporate Income Tax
• Familiarity with Federal Income Tax and Federal Income Tax Return
• Understanding of Federal Tax, Federal Tax Return, and Federal Taxes
• Demonstrated skills in Indirect Tax Compliance
• Experience in handling Monthly Sales Tax
• Knowledge of Multi-state Tax regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Solid understanding of tax software and MS Office
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
