The Tax Manager plays an important role in the company's accounting department, compliance, US & and international accounting, and financial audits. The individual adheres to the company's accounting operation policies, compliance with global standards, and aligns with the strategic objectives of the organization. 

 

 

What you will be doing: 

 

Responsible for developing and overseeing the tax function for Zonda, managing a range of tax related services and complying with relevant laws and regulations within specified timeframesWorking with outside tax advisors on key strategic projects and tax planning initiatives, including but not limited to transfer pricing, VDA agreement filings, R&D filingsManaging all US and foreign tax filingsPrepare reporting for sales and use tax returns on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis across a number of states and countriesPreparation of workpapers for Federal, State and local income and franchise tax returns, extensions and estimatesManaging tax provision process and reviewing financial statement disclosuresResearch and respond to state inquiries and tax noticesAssist with taxability setup/mapping of products across business linesReview general ledger tax account reconciliationsManage exemption certificate processPerform taxability research and provide guidance to business on contracts/agreements tax treatmentSupport the accounting and other functional teams to address and resolve business and sales tax issuesOverseeing and organizing tax audits as applicableProviding tax support for transactions such as M&A activities, including managing tax due diligence and tax planningStay current on tax matters, assist with research on technical accounting topics and implementing new accounting standards

 

 

What type of skills are required: 

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant fieldMinimum of 3 years’ tax accounting experienceKnowledge of laws and regulations applicable to federal and state tax codePossess superior organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively with internal and external professionals at all levelsSkilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasksAbility to work independently and build working relationships across global teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
