We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic tax planning for the Company and its affiliates. This role requires expertise in Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong taxation, strong project and people management skills, and the ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to senior stakeholders. 
The Tax Manager will work closely with the Finance and Legal teams, maintain a strong control environment, review contracts and transactions for tax implications, and manage related-party transactions and transfer pricing policies.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee all tax-related activities, ensuring full compliance with BIR and other regulatory requirements (PEZA, LGUs, BOI and International Agencies - IRD, IRS, ATO). (Filing of Withholding Tax Returns, Income Tax, VAT, DST, Other BIR Tax Returns; Filing of PEZA requirements (EZMPR, TIMTA); GST and BAS filing.)Establish and sustain a robust control environment to guarantee adherence to local tax regulations.Regularly monitor and analyze changes in BIR and other tax regulations, providing clear and timely updates to the CFO and Board.Spearhead the resolution of tax assessments, and notices, preparing position papers and protest letters.Review contracts and transactions to assess tax implications and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.Develop and execute tax-efficient strategies to optimize the Company’s tax position.Align tax planning and management with the Company’s business model.Lead the annual review, documentation, and benchmarking of related-party transactions for transfer pricing compliance.Oversee international tax matters, including Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong taxation, with the assistance of tax firms.Review and analyze financial statements and tax returns, identifying potential risks and opportunities. Perform reconciliations of financial reporting vs tax return reporting. Convey complex tax regulations and concepts in a clear and concise manner to the CFO, Board, and other senior stakeholders.Prepare and present tax reports to the Leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with financial strategies.Provide recommendations for process improvement to ensure tax compliance health. Lead tax-related projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.Oversee tax team members, providing guidance and fostering professional development.Drive cross-functional collaboration with the Finance and Legal teams (and other involved departments) to ensure cohesive tax management.Identify and implement automation solutions to enhance tax compliance and reporting efficiency.Development of process implementation documentation (business process manual). Continuously seek opportunities to improve tax processes and financial reporting.Qualifications7 to 10 years of experience with a tax firm and/or company operating across several countries. Experience with the telecommunications industry is a plus.Degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, Finance, or an equivalent field.Strong knowledge of Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong tax regulations.Extensive experience in corporate tax management, compliance, and strategy.Proven ability to manage tax audits, assessments, and dispute resolution.Hiring Process
