About this opportunity
You will play an important role in Tax Unit Sweden and working primarily with Ericsson AB including it’s 50 Branch Offices. Ericsson Group is one of Sweden’s largest companies by turnover with 263 BSEK in 2023 and Ericsson AB is in itself one of Sweden’s largest companies. The position is part of Group CFO function and reports to the Head of Tax Unit Sweden.
In this position you will be a key player in a global tax community at Ericsson consisting of more than 140 tax professionals managing taxes in more than 180 countries.
You will be part of a tax team of six employees, whereof two are based in Romania and rest in Sweden. In the role, you will work independently but in close cooperation with other tax and finance teams across the group. The organization you will be a part of is dynamic and fast paced, with many possibilities to make a difference and add value to the business.
What you will do
• Prepare income tax calculation on a yearly basis for Ericsson AB
• Support tax provision calculations in accordance with local and international accounting standards IAS 12 on quarterly basis, this also contains performing SOX controls related to income taxes
• Monitor Swedish tax legislation developments, including changes in the tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the business
• Identify areas for improvement and drive change connected to income tax reporting, including usage of new tools, changing ways of working etc.
• Close cooperation with Group Tax Counsels and Tax Managers as well as with regional Tax Managers and external tax advisors to ensure tax efficiency for the group.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as legal, finance, and operations to ensure tax strategies align with corporate goals whenever a project or change is initiated from them
• Take lead of own tax investigations
You will bring
• Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
• Tax lawyer and/or Tax accounting background
• Strong drive and high working capacity.
• Ability to prioritize and take a holistic approach (considering other aspects than tax)
• Team player oriented but not afraid to take the lead when needed
• Analytical and strategic mindset
• Bachelor’s degree within Business Administration or a Law degree.
• Around 5-8 years of relevant tax professional experience from a larger accounting firm and/or a multinational company.
• Solid prioritization skills with an affinity for handling large amounts of data.
• Experience in, and strong technical understanding of, Swedish and international tax law, tax returns, and tax reporting (IAS 12).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Sound understanding of general accounting principles.
• Experience in SAP is meriting but not a requirement.
