Responsibilities: 

Provide international tax services that provide measurable value and advise clients from a range of different industries on international tax matters.Facilitate planning, execution, direction, and completion of international tax projects. Consult with clients on tax-efficient structuring of international transactions, effective use of tax treaties, planning related to offshore investments activities and repatriation programs to minimize US and foreign income taxes.Research and analyze international and domestic tax issues using tax research tools; Review tax returns with international complexities, utilizing tax-related software and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.Provide technical expertise and knowledge of processes to expand the line of business and develop professional staff.

Additional Responsibilities

Recognize potential international tax issues and/or opportunities in engagements and discuss with engagement leader

Participate in client meetings to obtain / discuss tax documents and finalize tax returns

Participate in core CPE programsActively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and membersActively participate in firm sponsored events for assigned product line clients and prospectsRespond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional mannerPrepare client correspondence, letters, e-mail, or other communications pertaining to engagement planning and requestsAdhere to prescribed budgets and deadlinesDevelop technical competency

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experienceCPA certification required in the respective state in which they are practicingRequires at 5+ years of job related experienceInternational tax experience requiredRequires prior accounting and/or tax experienceSubject matter leader in similar accounting and/or tax servicesManagement and/or mentoring experience with other staff membersExperience making recommendations to managementPrior public accounting experience desired
